The Story
I'll be honest with you — I didn't grow up dreaming of being a real estate investor. I was a landscaper with a beat-up old Ford and more ambition than direction. I had no connections, no family money, no blueprint. Just a willingness to work.
Then I stumbled onto Earl Nightingale's The Strangest Secret and a Tony Robbins tape. Something clicked. I started understanding that the life I wanted wasn't going to fall in my lap — I had to build it deliberately. That mindset shift changed everything.
I went from mowing lawns to cleaning out foreclosures. From foreclosures to my first rental. From one rental to ten. From ten to a hundred. I kept going. Over thirty years I've built a portfolio of 10,000+ units across 27 markets, controlling more than $240 million in real estate.
I built RE Mentor — a real estate education company that ran for 22 years and helped thousands of everyday people buy their first apartment building. I wrote four books, three of which hit #1 on Amazon. Donald Trump asked me personally to write Trump University Commercial Real Estate 101. I've stood on stages next to Robert Kiyosaki, Tony Robbins, Kevin O'Leary, and Barbara Corcoran.
